Attorney Ron Barcena Jr. obtained a final summary judgment in favor of his client Gateway Centre Property Owners’ Association, Inc. The case at issue, which was pending in the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court in Pinellas County Florida, involved claims where the Plaintiff sued Gateway alleging that Gateway failed to maintain MCI Drive, the roadway adjacent to Gateway’s property which caused the Plaintiff to lose control of his motorcycle and suffer catastrophic injuries. Ultimately, the Court granted Final summary judgment in favor of Gateway Centre Property Owners’ Association, Inc., ruling that Gateway owed no duty to maintain a roadway which they had no ownership of.
